Develop a Community Builder (Joomla) plugin that reads data from MYSQL and prints it onscreen (need tech assistance)

I am a coder myself but i work with algorithms mostly. However, i now need to write a Community Builder (joomla based) plugin that will allow me to display for each user its unique ID which is stored in the CB database. I need the following: 1. Develop a "hello world" type plugin like this one : [login to view URL] and deploy it. 2. Read data from CB's database as to uniquely identify the user (i think some mysql example is provided in the previous link that does just that, but i had very limited time to test it so this is a request also - if it's already done, the better for you). 3. Give me pointers if i get stuck with Joomla config - this is like tech support, though only for config, no code support required. And by tech support i mean as the person working on this project should be willing to answer a couple of emails at most, if and only if i get stuck. Overall, this should be a very simple project; however, i do not have the required time for it (to investigate the Joomla and CB space), and i am asking for your help.
