Article Rewriter Feature Enhancement

I currently have a working Article Rewriter/Spinner web application that I would like to have enhanced with a specific feature. The app allows users to copy and paste an article into a text area. User can select portions of text from the article to "spin". Spinning involves creating variations of text using a special spinning syntax. ie. { word1|word2|word3 }. When the user is done editing, they can choose to "rewrite" the article which will generate a unique version of the article based on the specified spinning syntax. The enhancement I need is that the user should be able to select any instances of the spinning syntax {abc|def|xyz} and save it to a mysql DB as a "token". At some later time, the user can choose to apply all tokens, and the app will go through the user's saved tokens and apply them to the article. So using this example, when applying the tokens, the app will look through the article for the words 'abc', 'def', and 'xyz' and replace each instance with the string '{abc|def|xyz}' Those interested in this project should have good knowledge of jQuery and MySQL. ## Deliverables 1) When user selects a spin token ie. {abc|def|xyz}, the user has the option of saving it as a token to the DB, or applying this token immediately to the article (w/o saving to db). 2) These options from #1 are activated when: - User selects any portion of a spin token - The user's cursor is within a spin token Otherwise, in all other cases, the options from #1 are disabled 3) When the user chooses to apply the tokens, it looks for all instances of each word in the article (not including other spin tokens) and replaces them with the corresponding spin token.
