Hi,

I would like to create an email list of people who complete the first part of my landing page offer.

Basically ALL visitors who fill out the form are put into a “dropout list.?? However, those who go on to complete the checkout successfully are REMOVED from the list, so that only the people who did not buy are retained in the special list.

## Deliverables

Hi,

I would like to create an email list of people who complete the first part of my landing page offer.

Basically ALL visitors who fill out the form are put into a “dropout list.?? However, those who go on to complete the checkout successfully are REMOVED from the list, so that only the people who did not buy are retained in the special list (they are emailed to try to bring them back to order)

Here is the form where I would like to capture information from:

Checkout:

Notice that the shipping information is NOT repeated in the checkout (at this point it is captured but not displayed) Additionally the shipping information is used as the default billing information.

Please see this thread, where I pose the question of how to retain the customer’s information without using a custom link in their email (not an option with auto-responders):

Basically the answer is to use long term cookies to assign the person a unique user id. Then when he clicks back to the checkout, the cookie information is authenticated/validated, and his information is then pulled from a server side database.

A graphical demonstration of the entire process is here:

information about my server software:

Software installed: CentOS 5.3, with DirectAdmin, xCache, CSF/LFD firewall, DOS deflate

Database type: mySQL

Checkout type: Javascript

Shopping cart which checkout transmits data to: Ultracart

Manual for javascript checkout: [url removed, login to view]

The autoresponder to be used is UltraCart Email Marketing. See page 433:

We will ikely have to create a daily file to upload to ultracart marketing. However, Let me know if you think you can fully automate this process (so I don't have to load the list into an auto-responder each day)
