i use open source php script the bug genie ([login to view URL]) I want one of it's page cutomise. Report page will be customised, one text button will be added, when i enter values with barcode, the values will fill other textboxes. data will come from barcode is : A* B*C* D* E ( separated with (*) values A will go to textbox -1 B will go to textbox -2 C will go to textbox -3 D will go to textbox -4 Please check image file

Hello! I guess you meant to say "text field" not a "text button". And the arrow on that image points to teh "Short Description" field, not teh "Barcode" one lying beneath it. Anyway, shoud the parsing and populating of the other fileds happen "as you type/paste" or maybe a button to trigger that once you've finished inputting/editing to add would be a good idea? Also should the "BArcode" field keep the full inputted value, once it's been parsed and teh parts populated into teh other fields, or should it be cleanded of any value afterwards?
