· **Overview**
While many network monitoring solutions exist, such as ping scripts or smnp mibs, the more relevant test on a voice application is whether or not it answers a call and performs as expected. Robot dialers do not check for error codes, nor do they dial on a repeat schedule. Any number accessible via the PSTN can be tested.
The DialPSTN application tests and monitors IVR and other voice applications accessible via a PSTN Phone call. Testing is done continuously based on a time schedule for each number to be tested. An email with error codes is sent if the call fails.
The application, using Asterisk or other Voice Response technology, is connected to the PSTN via an analog POTS line connection.
Please read the full specs which are attached.
