Our supplier has a csv file updated daily ([login to view URL]).It has more than 23000 records.
We had our personal csv file (stored in our computers) made of some of these records.
These records are the items that we actually sell online, and we add new records every day(copied manually from the supplier's csv)
We are searching the way to synchronize automatically our csv file with the supplier's csv.
Infact we want to quickly find if any item is over or change the price.
pleace ask for more details.
We paid for setup an efficient system to do that. Post your way to do that.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am familiar with such types of task. I have done it previously. I have the script which does the similar job.
Please check PMb to see details.
First i would download the CSV file with the PHP module cURL.
Then I would step through eacy line, checking the price against the price in your CSV file by searching your CSV file product names or product ID's.
I need to see the layout of your CSV files.
Then I would save the results in a new CSV file.
This script would run on a cron Linux schedule for any time you wish.
Thanks.
Hi,
Can you give me more details about this project. From you're description, it sounds like a matter of comparing your csv file with the suppliers csv file for any differences.
Regards,
Paul.
Hi Vitoturi,
As per my understanding, I guess you require a feature in your CSV file which on comparing with the supplier's CSV sheet fetches data and processes it to provide alerts on certain conditions like price point exceeded etc.
This can be done easily by writing a Macro.
Can you kindly let us know the details/additional functioanlities required?
Hi.
My suggestion is to make an excel project (workbook) that would validate the current items against the new ones or modified the data (price and quantity available if it´s the case) based in the new CSV. Old items would be removed and new ones inserted.
The new CSV could be sorted by your needs.
The Excel workbook would have an built-in toolbar (the toolbar would follow the workbook with no need for installation), with buttons that would simplify the running of the actions (macros).
Button - insert new CSV
Button - integrate new data
Button - export new data to a clean CSV
I hope this will fill your needs and i hope to your from you soon!
