Convert Visual C++ USB code to C# Windows Mobile Smart Device

I have a small application written in VC++ 2005 for desktop that needs to be written in C# for the Windows Mobile Platform. The application is provided by Microchip Technology for use with their PIC32 USB Starter kit and can be downloaded from their site. This will require knowledge of the the Device Manger API ([login to view URL]) in the Windows Mobile SDK 6. It will also require understanding of USB HID comms. ## Deliverables The application to be converted to Visual C# Smart Device is attached. It can also be download from [MCHPFSUSB v2.4 USB Framework ][1] . The application is in the directory: Microchip Solutions/USB Device - HID - Custom Demos/Generic HID - Simple Demo - PC Soiftware. The original application for Windows XP uses setupapi.h which is not available on Windows Mobile. The issues can be summarised: 1) The original code supplied is for the Windows XP platform. It will not run on Windows Mobile. 2) The api calls in the original program will not work on Windows Mobile because the api does not exsist on Windows Mobile. You need to identify the relevant api in Windows Mobile (you may want to investigate using the Device Manager API). 3) The final code must do what the original code did exactly. The original code, among other things, identifies and enumerates a USB HID device connected to the Pocket PC based on its VID and PID. It also establishes communication between the Pocket PC and the HID device. 4) The final code must be in C# for Windows Mobile. This is the easy part.
