our implementation of asterisk most of the time works well, but sometimes: 1) hangs up before call gets completed 2) does not play the outgoing message following is the sequence of events on our platform: 1) user A in china clicks a web page button, 'call me' 2) asterisk places call through a sip termination provider in china 3) asterisk plays a standard outgoing message and a system beep 4) user A speaks into the phone and records message 5) sser A hangs up sometimes user A is still speaking and asterisk hangs up, sometimes user A receives the call, but never hears the outgoing message or beep, and then speaks, and asterisk does record user A (even though skipped playing outgoing message and beep). believe that above mentioned issues could be caused by SIP providers not communicating properly with our asterisk box, and timely calls' status. coder would be required to: 1) review existing configuration and our suggestions on how above mentioned issues can be solved 2) develop test plan 3) use our test environment which consists of asterisk installation and all necessary scripts to make phone calls through one of the SIP providers to our test phone. in case any interaction is required on our part during testing coder could communicate with me realtime through IM 4) document test results
