I have a Microsoft Access CRM database that stores individual client records, whereby each client has a record with all their details on, and from that record the database creates automated letters. There are numerous template letters, and the database enters the variables based on the client's record.
At present, we click 'create customer record' and then have to enter all of this information manually (name, address and all other details etc.), however, we actually receive all of this information in the form of an Excel/csv spreadsheet, and would like to be able to just import this spreadsheet so that each line in the spreadsheet creates a new record in the access database.
Whilst this is the primary work that we require, I would also like a table created within the database which will facilitate searching for client records by different criteria. At present, we are able to type in a surname or reference number, but it only displays the first record which has that surname. I would like to have a tab within the database whereby we can type in a surname and it will show a list of all records that fulfill that criteria, and whereby we can order them how we like.
I have attached a copy of the database, so hopefully it will all make sense for you.
