This is a level-design project for a new Android game called "Goal". You must also be able to access the Internet from your Android device. I have the game essentially built, except that I have no levels. Actually, I did create a few levels, but they're just "dummy" levels for the purpose of illustrating the game. If you've ever played "Bubble Ball" or "Apparatus" you'll know what I need. If you have not played these games, please download them from the Android market and start playing them! I'm looking for someone to design 50 interesting and unique levels for this game, which require some ingenuity to solve. Here's how you play: You have a little green ball that you want to get to the glowing "goal". To achieve the maximum number of points, you want to use as few materials as possible, and get as many of the blue stars as possible. The materials that you have to use are: - Steel objects (rectangle, circle, and triangle). These are fixed in space, and are not affected by gravity. - Wood objects (rectangle, circle, and triangle). These fall to the ground when the simulation stars. They ARE affected by gravity. - Stone. This is what makes up the "landscape" which is set at the beginning of each level. Stone objects are not affected by gravity, and they are not changeable or moveable by the user. In other words, you are stuck with the landscape that you are given. - Pivot. This is a small object that can be placed between 2 wood objects, or between wood and steel objects, to create a pivot point. - Chain. To add a chain, tap on the starting point, and then on the destination point. - Push tools: These just give the ball an extra "push" in a particular direction. - Gravity changers: These change the gravity of the game to go a different direction. What I need: I need 50 (FIFTY) levels. For each level, you should take a PICTURE of the level solved (i.e., literally take a photo of your phone's screen, or a screenshot if you have an app that can take screenshots), and a picture of the level un-solved. AND you should email the level data to me using the little email button. Name the levels appropriately, like: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] And then the email would have "Level 1" as the subject line. CRITERIA for level creation: 1) You should ensure that ALL 3 stars (and the goal of course!) can be gotten using the objects that you have provided. 2) 10 of the levels should REQUIRE the use of the chain tool to get all 3 stars and the goal. In other words, not using the chain tool would result in failure. 3) 10 of the levels should REQUIRE the use of the pivot tool to get all 3 stars and the goal. In other words, not using the pivot tool would result in failure. 3) For the remaining 30 levels, please use a variety of the objects in the level. You might have a "wood objects only" level, or a "wood + metal" level, or perhaps you'll have a level that will require 2 chains, or a chain + pivot, or a chain + gravity changer, etc. You do NOT have to use every type of object! In fact, I'm not a big fan of the gravity changes or push tools. I personally prefer levels that just use a small number of objects in ingenious ways, but you can use whatever you want. 4) NO level should have more than 8 objects on the stage (except for the ball, goal, and stars). I don't want the user to have to juggle too many things, because on a small phone these will get too cluttered. 5) ALL levels must require some ingenuity to solve. I want levels designs that cause people to go: "Oh, THAT's how you solve it? how COOL!" (not: "Oh, that's lame!") If I think that your levels are too lame or easy to solve, I will ask you to re-do them. So, please send me your levels as you complete them so that I can approve them, and provide feedback. I'm looking for levels that are both challenging and interesting. No one wants to play a game that is too easy to beat. **** IF YOU REALLY WANT THIS PROJECT, PLEASE CREATE A COUPLE OF LEVELS FOR ME AND POST THEM WITH YOUR BID REQUEST! That way, I can get an idea for how you think, and if I think that your ideas are sufficiently creative. Please see my attached video for how level creation would occur. In my video, the "Save" tool does not work because I'm not testing on a device, but if you're testing on a device with email hooked up, this "save" button should initiate an email to me, with the level data included. Please note that the "recycle" symbol resets the ball, stars, and goal positions, and the "recycle ALL" resets the entire level. Also note that you can rotate most objects (wood, steel, stone) by tapping on the object, and then tapping the rotation symbols. You can remove an object by double-tapping on it. The ball, goal, and stars can be placed anywhere on the screen! You do NOT have to start the ball in the top left corner.
