We need a RoR expert to build us a website (including frontend - Backbone, HTML5, CSS, etc.) that works similar to Kickstarter.com. It will have some simplifications from Kickstarter as described below.
## Deliverables
The site is intended to help the world by connecting people with charitable needs.
Concept: A charity will fill out an application for posting a project (e.g., paint a school) that includes an amount requested (funding amount). If accepted by us after reviewing the application, the project goes live and is presented in the site just like a Kickstarter project. There is a timeframe where the project must be fully funded or it fails.
A project page shows the project, time remaining and the amount pledges with what the project needs. Users pledge a MAXIMUM of $10 for a project (each member can only pledge a maximum of $10,000 per year). If the project is fully funded in time, the user credit cards through Amazon Payments is charged and collected.
The project page will show how the money will be used and progress. Then it will show when complete. The project page will have an area to see an accounting of how the money was used.
Requirements: Complete design and development of the web app logic and architecture using RoR, HTML5, Backbone, etc. It must have a home page with the information found in Kickstarter. com such as new projects, information on how the site works, sign up/in, search projects.
Project pages must follow the format and info contained in Kickstarter: landing page, updates page, backers page and comments page. There must be the ability for users to share the project via Twitter, Facebook. There must be an ability for users to ask a question.
It is critical that the pledging system be well thought out and coded using Amazon Payments system.
