Hi,
i have a CSV File with a big pricelist which needs to be imported to a postgresql Database, regularly.
Some time ago, i made a script which i can start out of a browser which does the job.
unfortunatelly i recently updated my (debian) server and now i have perl 5.10.1 instead of 5.8.8
I also updated PostgreSQL 7.4.17 to 8.4.7 but that shouldnt be a problem here.
Since that update my script stoped working and i need somebody to fix it for me cause i ran out of ideas and need it done quickly!
Attached are the script and a example csv with only 3 items, and the perl script.
Note: the real csv is MUCH bigger. Around 25MB to be precise.
What i already found out, is that the $temp2 variable in line 88 contains only the first line of the csv file after the update. But it should contain the whole File!!!
I need someone to fix that for me fast.
Either programm a workaround for it (for example a loop which imports it line per line) or maybe only a switch or something to make perl behave like before the update.
I already tried to add "use 5.8.8" but it didnt help.
