I am looking to hire an extremely competent Django developer on a long-term - but part-time (i.e. Freelance) - basis to help develop a Q&A community with me that is based on OSQA. The site is already deployed and there is a “coming soon” page up at www.realpha.com. Any candidate wishing to apply should possess the following qualities:
Necessary:
- Extensive experience in Python and Django implementation
- Server admin experience
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English
- Very strong communication abilities (especially in terms of progress updates)
- Highly reliable/punctual, making every effort possible to stick to agreed deadlines
- Willing to work on weekends
Highly desired:
- Familiarity with OSQA or similar Django framework
- HTML/CSS and/or web design experience
- Familiarity with blogging solutions for Django
- Familiarity with scalability concerns in general with a focus on Django in particular
- Familiarity with the Facebook API
- Interest in all aspects of male self-improvement
I live in Los Angeles, but I am open to hiring an overseas developer. I'm expecting to pay somewhere between $10-$30 on an hourly basis but I'm open to discussion. Depending on the success of the site, the length of the project will hopefully be indefinite, which is why I have posted the largest possible budget for it.
Any candidates wishing to apply should include up to three previous samples of their development work and ultimately be willing to e-mail a resume.
Thanks for reading.
