This project operates in full screen 3D Direct X 9+ - preferably DirectX11 in windows 7 64 bit.
The software is required to take voxel data and convert this into viewable 3D polygons.
Intelligent algorithms must be employed to identify voxel material characteristics and link the same types together to form a mesh of the material.
The data input will be DICOM data which has to be perfectly decoded.
The software will produce similar graphical views to the osirix software shown in the video link here:

All programming must take place in true 64 bit to allow full use of RAM in a 64-bit environment.
The software graphics engine will need to be fully compatible with Nvidia 3D vision and Nvidia 3D TV - which will be the case for DirectX 9c onwards with polygon or voxel 3D particles.
CUDA based acceleration is a plus . But a simple non CUDA based viewer for non NVIDIA graphics will be required for viewing 3D depictions on android and iOS and windows / mac browser.
Unity 3D is preferred as the simple viewing platform for android, ios and browsers.
The native windows application will need to be fully accelerated employing ultra smooth graphics on Nvidia high end GPU systems - hence preference for CUDA programming to speed up calculations for both preprocessing and graphics.
Software will need to be well coded for high stability so that crashes are very rare.
