A small report on an IT project

Examine the Standish Reports on IT projects, (e.g., the original 1995 Chaos report) and using this information, develop a 2pp business report that uses the Standish data to argue for effective requirements management techniques. Address the memo to your "Boss". This should be a two-three page professional report summarizing field studies on the problem/importance of requirements in engineering projects. This should be submitted in the form of a business memo to your boss. The goal is to convince your boss of the problem with requirements - use industry-wide data to convince them that requirements is a big problem, and it's important that we/you do something (make simple suggestions). If you can, use specific requirements failures at your company to illustrate the general issues. Write this as a professional report that you'd be happy to give to your boss, e.g.: Executive Summary (1 paragraph) Body (Lots of structure - charts, bulletted lists, etc., all well-organized) Conclusion - very short, based on data presented. Use clear and succinct language, bulleted lists and figures wherever appropriate.
