Hi sr. Let me sugest on your project. I think you don´t need a slab, but a rigid reinforced concrete paviment in the place of the slab. It is diferent when we talk about the design, but in the end, the construction will be the same. As a second sugestion, when you hire the structural engineer, ask for the subbase and base specifications, like proctor energy and etc ( the right engineer will know what to give). If you design just the slab and not under that too, you will have patologic problems in a short life history. I would like to be the engineer for that project, so let me know if you need my help. for heavy duty traffic... we should refer to AASHTO code. And for slab on ground, we can use ACI or BS code
