Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Killian and I’m a mechanical engineering student from Brazil in my last year of studies. I have worked with sourcing/purchasing during an internship in the past and can help you in this project.
The approach I would use is:
1. Call 20 out of the total 48 suppliers from your list to verify if they are selling and exporting the type of chicken you want. I will update your spreadsheet with the information given by them, positive or not.
2. In case they do, I will inform the quantities you need, delivery port and incoterms, and if it meets their minimum order amount, I will ask for a quotation.
3. Forward you all the quotations and contact person details.
For that, I would need more details of your company and I would present myself as one of your commercial representatives in Brazil, I will explain that the business will be done directly with you on a later stage but that I’m representing your company here for this stage of the project.
Would it be possible to create a corporate e-mail for me in your company in case you have that facility? That would help getting the quotations, it adds a lot of professionalism to the RFQ and in my experience, it may saves us a lot of time. I will also need information about the quantities you need and any technical specifications (type of chicken/quality/etc). My bid includes this research and contacting the companies to get you the quotations from technically capable companies.
Best regards,
Killian
