I'm a System Administrator who started to develop scripts do automate my tasks. I have developed many of them to fit my needs. Just to give an example, one of my file servers was almost full and I had to migrate all personal folders to another server, the problem was that I had almost 3000 users, just editing each account to set a new personal folder would spend a lot of days! So I developed a vbscript to move and setup the new home folder, and the new migration took less than 20 minutes.
In your situation, I can develop an Excel Macro to create both Active Directory and Exchange accounts. To be honestly I don’t know yet how to check the Information Store free space, but if you don’t mind, we could use a checkbox to choose in which Information you’d like to create.
It could be done also in Vbscript if you want, but I think using just one file is the better way to accomplish this. I create my users this way.
I have an active directory domain with exchange installed and I’m able to develop this.
