Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible) About the Role We are looking for an experienced Accountant specialising in Xero to manage and maintain the financial records of a growing property development and construction business. This is a fully remote role requiring strong experience with Xero, financial reporting, and managing multiple projects or entities. You will work directly with the Director and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial information, monitoring project costs, and ensuring financial data is organised and up to date. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Xero Financial Management • Manage and maintain company financial records in Xero • Reconcile bank accounts and financial transactions • Maintain and structure the chart of accounts • Ensure financial information is accurate and up to date Financial Reporting • Prepare monthly financial reports • Track project costs and development expenses • Monitor budgets and highlight cost variations • Provide financial summaries for management Accounts Management • Manage supplier invoices and outgoing payments • Track incoming and outgoing transactions • Maintain accurate financial records across projects Compliance • Prepare BAS and GST information for submission • Maintain records for tax compliance • Liaise with external accountants when required Financial Organisation • Maintain organised digital financial records • Work with tools such as Hubdoc or similar systems • Ensure all transactions and financial documentation are properly recorded ⸻ Requirements • Strong experience using Xero (Essential) • Minimum 3+ years accounting experience • Strong understanding of GST and BAS requirements • Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently in a remote environment ⸻ Preferred Experience • Experience in construction or property development • Experience managing multiple entities or projects • Strong understanding of project cost tracking
