Software: I currently use. Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop Skill Set: Good drawing skills include understanding edges, spaces, light and shadow, relationships, and perspective. Tools: I use a Wacom Cintiq 22 (Creative Graphics Pen Display) for my design process. PROCESS 1. I ask the client a few questions about how the product differs from other competitors, who the target audience is, and what his/her preferences in design are. 2. I carry out online research. 3. Then I make a few sketches of the basic idea/ideas of the logo based on all of the above. 4. I vectorize the best-suited designs in Illustrator. INSPIRATION Depends on the subject.
