Android Navigation & Transport App

I need a dedicated Android developer who can build a navigation-focused transportation app from the ground up. The core goal is to guide users smoothly from point A to B while handling the usual on-the-road needs—live turn-by-turn directions, traffic-aware rerouting, and a clean interface that works reliably on a single hand. Here is the scope I have in mind: • Mapping & routing: integrate Google Maps (or an open-source equivalent) to plot the fastest, toll-aware routes and refresh them in real time. • Location handling: high-accuracy GPS lock, graceful fallback when signal drops, and battery-sensitive updates. • Essential driver tools: ETA display, speed limit alerts, and audible navigation cues that remain clear over vehicle noise. • Trip history: store recent journeys locally with the option to export or share. • Lightweight back-end: Firebase or another cloud option for user preferences, crash logs, and analytic events. Deliverables: 1. Production-ready Android APK + signed AAB 2. Source code in a Git repo with concise README 3. One-page test plan showing device coverage and edge cases you validated 4. Short video or screenshots that demonstrate all primary flows Acceptance criteria: the app must install on Android 8.0+ without crashes, lock GPS within five seconds outdoors, complete a 50-km simulated route without rerouting errors, and pass Play Console pre-launch checks. You may code in Kotlin or Java, but please follow modern Android architecture (MVVM, Jetpack libraries).
