We are a startup company with a very small team and a mission to develop technological solutions for a number of problems plaguing our country and the rest of the region.
Overview:
We aim to develop a mobile application where automatic number plate recognition functionalities are involved. We want the app to be able to get as input a picture of a vehicle number plate (i.e car, motorcycle, truck, etc.). The mobile device camera will capture a livefeed of moving vehicles. The application will extract the number plates from each moving vehicle and returns as output a text string representing the photographed number plate. The output text strings will be stored and exported onto a database for database matching to provide customer services (monitor vehicle insurance compliance, vehicle road worthiness compliance etc.)
Deliverables:
- ANPR mobile application (android).
- Should be able to capture vehicle number plates, convert to text strings, and export to a database.
- Should function appropriately on hot sunny days and rainy days. Should also function appropriately at night and during day.
