An Independent feature film (115 minutes) is looking for an experienced Sound Designer & Mastering Engineer who has strong experience on North American and South Asian music and atmosphere. We have just completed the Picture Lock and Sound Designer of the movie will start March 15th. Candidate must have previous experience and have own studio and necessary industry standard tools. You might need to re-record necessary ambient of your own if needed and delivery of fully produced high quality audio tracks after mastering. Sound Designer & Mastering Engineer Responsibilities: • Manage and own the overall sound of post-production for the entire film. • Create the sound concept, create on screen action sound and identify what other kinds of sound effects are needed for the film. • Dialog editing - cleaning up the recorded dialogue, and VO of the production sound. Perform audio restoration, editing, music trimming. • ADR ("automated" or "automatic" dialog replacement) – Identify, coordinate, and replace dialogue of the production sound. • SFX – Creating sounds to generate mood and feeling (Diegetic sounds). Visualize and artificially create or enhanced sounds the necessary that are recorded to emphasize or express an action, mood, or feeling based on each scene of the film. • Foley – Generate or re-record all the Foley (footsteps, kissing, touching skin, cloth pass, grabs and pats, etc.) necessary based on each scene of the film. • Ambient sound - Polish the production Ambient sound or visualize the atmosphere and re-record similar Ambient sound as per each scene. • Mixing and Mastering: Adjust, combine individual tracks together and mixing to various loudness standards, edition. Master afterwards ensuring that the various final tracks are clearly polished and form a cohesive whole on the film. • Music - Adjust, combine individual music tracks together that are done and shared by music composer. Deliverables: High quality 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound formats, file sharing, meeting the project deadlines and communicate with the team daily basis via Video conference. Timeline: March 15 to April 15, 2020 Payment: CND$ 2,700. Please apply with your sample of previous work and references. Remarks: Prefer the candidate in Greater Toronto Area or Kolkata / Dhaka who has extensive industry experiences!
