Dynamic Product Scraping & Sync for WordPress (WooCommerce) Project Overview We are looking for a developer to build a dynamic scraping and synchronization system that imports products from an external website into WordPress + WooCommerce. The system must automatically import, update, and remove products, handle countdowns for time-limited items, and support subscription-based access to sensitive seller information. Scope of Work 1. Dynamic Product Import & Sync The scraper should: Import categories and subcategories Import product data, including: Title Description Variations Attributes Images (main + gallery) Detect updated or expired products Automatically remove expired products Support scheduled automatic updates (cron-based) Allow manual imports via an admin panel: Single auction Auction list Auction data from a logged-in user account (non-public pages) Include data validation and error handling Be resilient to changes in the source website structure Technology expectation: Scraper built with maintainable tools (e.g. Python or Node.js) and integrated via the WooCommerce REST API for long-term stability. 2. Visual & UX Enhancements (Included) Countdown timer for time-limited products Product status labels: Live Ending Soon Expired Automatically hide/remove expired products after 5 hours Clean, modern, mobile-friendly WooCommerce design 3. Image Handling Automatic import of all product images Image optimization for WooCommerce and changing backgrounds into neutral Remove watermarks If not removable, replace with a neutral placeholder/symbol image 4. Seller Address Protection (Subscription-Based) Seller address hidden by default Visible only to subscribed (Premium) users Monthly subscription handled via WooCommerce (or similar) Access control enforced at backend level 5.
