We are manufacturer, trader and wholesaler of laboratory glassware and laboratory equipment based in Chennai, India. We looking to get a modern eCommerce web application developed. The proposed web application would work on a marketplace model and would allow multiple sellers to create their accounts and sell products. The application needs to have multiple integrations including Payment Gateway and logistics partner’s APIs. The client also wants to be able to upload and control offers. We wants a a comprehensive backend panel that will allow them to control the dynamic and business critical parts of the website. The sellers should also have dedicated logins that would allow them to access their accounts and upload and manage products. They should be able to upload offers on individual or bulk purchases. The client also intends to have an enquiry functionality on the website that will allow the users to enquire about products currently not available or for any other specific demand. Such communication will be with the main website Admin. The Admin will notify the sellers, if appropriate in an offline way. The website will also have transactional Email and SMS gateway integrated. The sellers will register themselves on a portal and the website Admin will be notified of a new application. Upon verifications and approval, the sellers will be able to upload their products and set the prices and offers etc. The sellers will get a unique ID and password using which they can login to the Admin Panel and operate the website. The main website Admin will also have a dedicated login will full controls. The client wants to have the capability to pull in the data in CSV format.
The website users can browse through the website and the products and categories without logging in. However, to place an order, the user will be have to create an account. The user will be able to pay electronically through a Payment Gateway integrated in the portal. The profile section will have the details of the past purchases of the user. The web application has to be built on a modern technology stack and should be capable of scaling up successfully. The application design has to be responsive so that it can be operated on multiple screen sizes. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work for the project includes all planning, execution and implementation for the website. The following activities and deliverables are included in the SOW: oUI and UX design: Development of new look and feel of the website. oDevelopment: Development of the solution as per the requirements mentioned in Section 4.0 and the FRD oTesting and Deployment: Testing and deployment of the solution on the domain of the client. oContent Management: Managing and uploading all content for the website is the responsibility of the client. However, the required support for the same will be provided. oTraining and Closure: The necessary training for using the Content Management System will be provided as a part of the project.
