I plan to bring a civil action in U.S. District Court against the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The goals are two-fold: 1) secure monetary compensation for the harm I have suffered as a result of what I believe to be wrongful domestic-terrorism–related conduct, and 2) compel full disclosure of all records about me that are being withheld under the Privacy Act and any related statutes. The assignment is full litigation representation. I will rely on you to research the strongest causes of action, draft and file the complaint through CM/ECF, handle service, motions, discovery and any necessary Privacy Act or FOIA components, then guide the matter through settlement negotiations or trial. Deliverables • Strategy memo outlining jurisdiction, claims, damages theory and timetable • Draft and filing of the federal complaint plus all accompanying exhibits and summonses • Timely submission of Privacy Act/FOIA demands and any injunction or mandamus petitions needed to force production • Periodic PACER status updates and client conferences (virtual are fine) • Representation in court until final judgment or settlement, with written closing report Please respond only if you are admitted in at least one U.S. federal district court (or eligible for pro hac vice admission) and comfortable litigating against federal agencies.
