Mechanical engineer for airborne radar project
Budget $750-1500 CAD
We need a mechanical designer to help build a non-conductive and non-magnetic frame to carry a downward-looking radar system under a helicopter. Primarily fiberglass or FRP construction. No certification is required as the load will be jettisonable, but it does need to have strength and aerodynamic properties estimated. Photos and drawings of wooden prototypes are available. It will be in a horizontal 'X' configuration, with each arm approximately 8 m long.
