Compliance Hotline Operator in China

China-based On-Call Hotline Call Handler (Low Volume, Long-Term) ⸻ Description We are looking for a reliable person based in Mainland China to support a compliance / ethics hotline for an international client. This is a very low-volume, on-call role, designed to be combined with other freelance or remote work, as long as the person works from a stable, quiet location. ⸻ Responsibilities • Receive compliance / whistleblowing calls redirected to your mobile phone • Answer calls professionally and calmly • Collect information following a simple script • Forward the information securely to our team • Participate in test calls approximately once per month to confirm availability ⸻ Workload • Expected real calls: fewer than 10 calls per year • Availability required: you must be attentive and able to answer if a call comes in • Calls are rare but must be answered when they occur ⸻ Work Environment Requirement (Important) This role can be combined with other freelance or remote work, provided that: • You work from a fixed and quiet location (home office, private workspace) • You are not in a factory, public place, or on the street during working hours • You can ensure privacy, confidentiality, and clear call quality This requirement is essential due to the confidential nature of the calls. ⸻ Requirements • Must be physically located in Mainland China • Native or fluent Mandarin Chinese • Comfortable handling phone calls and taking accurate notes • Reliable, discreet, and responsive • Own mobile phone • Basic English for coordination ⸻ Compensation This position is paid as a monthly retainer for availability, not for call volume.
