BOQ Verification & Material Estimation Expert

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Civil Engineer for BOQ Verification & Material Estimation (Lift Well Project) Project Description: We are a structural engineering firm (ASK Apex Structural) looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Civil Engineer to assist in quantity takeoff, BOQ verification, and material estimation for a lift well construction project in Kolkata. The project includes RCC works, brickwork, plastering, shuttering, and finishing works. Drawings and BOQ are already available. Scope of Work: Verify BOQ quantities with reference to drawings Prepare detailed material estimation including: • Cement (bags) • Sand (cum / bags) • Stone aggregates • Reinforcement steel (kg/MT) • Bricks (nos) Identify missing or underestimated items in the BOQ Provide a contractor-level material consumption sheet Optional: Prepare rate analysis and cost comparison (CPWD/PWD) Deliverables: Excel sheet with detailed quantity and material breakup Summary report highlighting risks and discrepancies Clean and structured format usable for tendering Requirements: Experience in Quantity Surveying / Civil Estimation Knowledge of IS codes / CPWD / PWD practices Proficiency in Excel Ability to read structural drawings Preferred: Experience in RCC structures and lift shaft projects Previous BOQ/tender work samples Budget: Open for discussion (fixed or milestone-based) Timeline: 3–5 days Please share your previous work samples or similar project experience.
