[[login to view URL]][1], a site about the people, companies, and organizations
related to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers
(ICANN) and the domain name industry, is in the process of relocating.
The older version of our website currently hosts several hundred short
articles about various companies in the industry, which can be seen
here: <[login to view URL]:ICANNWiki/Companies>. The task at
hand is to move the old articles and their content from the old site
to the new site, rewriting and elaborating on them so that they adhere
to the higher standards we've set up for [[login to view URL]][1]. Your process
will be the following:
## Deliverables
You will receive a batch of 50 companies who already have articles
on [login to view URL] that have not been moved over to ICANNWiki.com. You
will research each company extensively, focusing especially how they
relate to ICANN, domains, and the internet industry. You may use the
old article as a basis, but please go above and beyond what is there.
Do not simply copy and paste the old article, and you may not cite the
old article, as it will eventually be removed.
You will write a high-quality article about each company, including
their history. If you cannot find enough information to form a
coherent article about a company within your batch, please replace it
with a company from the Overflow Batch
It is imperative that the content be original -- that is, do not copy
and paste content from other websites and claim it as your own. Be
sure to cite your sources often. We have created an extensive article
on the process of writing a good company article, which can be viewed
here:

We will provide plenty of help as needed to understand the wiki
formatting and provide whatever other assistance you may need. You
will, however, need to familiarize yourself with the ICANN and Domain
Name industry so that you can use the right vocabulary, etc. If you
are unfamiliar, this will take a some reading and research. I realize
it will be an investment, but if we work together well, then it will
pay off in future work we do together. If not, it'll still be a good
education :-)
Requirements:
* You must have a good understanding the English language, both
reading and writing. You must be able to write these articles in your
own words; please do not plagiarize. Keep in mind that the project can
require some technical vocabulary.
* You must be reliable and responsible, and able to keep in contact
with us. Before applying, be sure that you are able to commit to the
amount of work required.
