Looking for a Copywriter based in Toronto, Canada, to participate, contribute and help build our website newsfeed and social media content presence for its launch, and beyond. Our Start Up works on creating Innovation & Creative Thinking Activities for our members online. Our ideal candidate is a creative Copywriter who writes clear and concise copy for ads, publications and websites. Your words will inform and engage our audiences. You are a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail. If you can grasp project requirements quickly and offer valuable insight, we’d like to speak with you. You will be asked to do the following: 1) Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. newsfeed, blog posts, newsletters, other curated platform content) 2) Conducting thorough research and interviews 3) Working with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns Requirements: 4) Proven experience as a copywriter or related role 5) Knowledge of online content strategy and creation 6) Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills 7) Experience with SEO 8) Strong research skills 9) Creativity 10) Collaborative spirit 11) Excellent time-management and organizational skills 12) Self-Taught or with a BSc/BA in marketing, English, journalism or related field Responsibilities: 13) Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice 14) Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements 15) Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages) 16) Conduct high-quality research and interviews 17) Edit and proofread copy as needed 18) Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach 19) Source images and other content Submit your resume, a portfolio if you have one and up to three writing samples, so we can get an idea of your best work and writing style.
