Hello everyone,
we are looking for a highly skilled, meticulous, talented and proficient ENGLISH AND SPANISH to PORTUGUESE (PT-EUROPE) translator and copywriter. You need to write the copy of an illustrated but technical sales catalogue of 84 pages and approximately 11.000 words (see sample). Only bids from native Portuguese residing in Portugal will be accepted.

The catalogue should not be translated literally but will need to be adapted to contemporary Portuguese with a convincing commercial language and fluent sales story, as if the copy had been written in Portuguese in the first place. Excellent copy writing skills, being a native Portuguese speaker and verified proficiency in ENGLISH AND SPANISH are an absolute must for this job. You will need to translate and write the entire catalogue manually and really work on the copy to deliver a top notch result.
To help you with the job, we will provide you with some reference literature and a website in Portuguese so you can become familiar with some technical terms and expression. We will also provide you with a Spanish and English copy of the catalogue. You will need to read BOTH in depth to fully understand the subject before starting. For questions and doubts we will be available during to whole process.
For the translation/copywriting job we will supply a PDF document of the English and Spanish version of the catalogue, the translated texts can be returned in a simple Word document. Please see attached samples for reference. Your copy will be inserted into the layout and sent to you again for a final round of proof reading.
Experience in technical translations (especially architecture and engineering) will also be valued. Before placing a bid please make sure that you have fully understood our requirements AND you are up to the task.
