Medical Study Stats & Results

The manuscript is drafted and the dataset is cleaned; what I need now is a rigorously executed statistical analysis and a journal-ready results section. Dataset & Scope • Mixed data: continuous measures, categorical variables, and a few ordinal scales. • My preference is for all work to be run in Stata, with the do-file and log so every step is reproducible. • Most outcomes are non-normally distributed, so the core of the work will rely on non-parametric tests, but you are welcome to justify an alternative approach when appropriate. Tasks 1. Select and justify the correct descriptive statistics for each variable. 2. Run the inferential analyses (primarily non-parametric) with p-values, 95 % confidence intervals, and effect sizes where possible. 3. Produce publication-ready tables that follow common medical journal formatting. 4. Write a concise results narrative that links directly to the tables and clearly states the key findings without interpretation or discussion. Deliverables • Stata do-file and raw output • A Word (or LaTeX) file containing the formatted tables • The fully written results section, ready to be dropped into the manuscript Acceptance Criteria The code must reproduce every figure and table without manual edits, and the narrative must pass an internal peer review for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to reporting guidelines. If anything is unclear, feel free to suggest the most statistically sound path before proceeding with the analysis.
