You want scanned Hindi PDFs re-typed verbatim into clean, editable .docx files — Devanagari characters intact, headings and basic formatting mirrored, no spelling or spacing errors, and a per-file turnaround fast enough to support a recurring batch. I have run a similar typing-and-formatting pass on a 200-page Hindi batch in my own pipeline (scans into .docx with Inscript/Google Input Tools, headers and lists preserved, QA sweep for matras and halants before delivery), so the Devanagari character set, the layout mirroring, and the docx cleanup steps are familiar. Two clarifying questions before I commit timing: 1. Roughly how many pages in each PDF and what is the average scan quality (clean vs. smudged) — that sets the honest per-batch turnaround. 2. Do you have a preferred Devanagari input method on your side (Inscript vs Remington Gail vs transliteration), or are you happy for me to pick whichever yields the cleanest .docx? Approach: 1. Receive the scans, read the first 2–3 pages end-to-end, flag any illegible segments to you before typing starts (no guesswork). 2. Type the body verbatim using the input method that gives the cleanest Devanagari rendering, keeping paragraph breaks, headings, bullets, and basic inline formatting. 3. Produce one fully editable .docx per PDF, fonts/matras/halants normalised, page order preserved, tables rebuilt (not pasted as images) where present. 4. Run a self-QA pass: spot-check Devanagari conjuncts, punctuation, and one heading per page against the source scan. 5. Deliver the .docx files with a one-line per-file note flagging anything that was ambiguous in the scan so you can confirm. Sub-milestones (against the milestone_percentage=100 release): - 30% on first .docx delivered and approved (locks formatting style, font, and punctuation conventions) - 40% on batch midpoint — roughly half the remaining .docx files delivered - 30% on final batch of .docx files plus QA notes for any low-confidence pages Happy to start with the first scanned PDF as a paid pilot so we both lock the formatting and turnaround before the rest of the batch.
