Many years ago, I created a league table of the then current 92 league clubs and called it "The League of Leagues". Broadly speaking, it comprised every result from the last occasion any two teams played each other in the league. I created a sheet for each team showing all results and blanks of course where teams had never met in the league. Each team sheet showed the season when each result was recorded. I created a number of other charts reflecting overall points and averages. The tables are dynamic as effectively they can be updated after every league game. I initially created a 92 x 92 spreadsheet, by hand, to capture the initial results. I showed my work to a few football friends in my office at the time who liked it very much but never did anything further with it. I still have my original working papers and team sheets. Most of it is neatly hand written as it was produced before PC's were readily available. Please let me know if you have any interest in the above.
