worked for an insurance company where I was responsible for data modelling and building the ETL framework for the data warehouse supporting life insurance products. We had multiple policy source systems as well as claims sources. We implemented a four-stage architecture consisting of a landing layer with SCD Type 1, followed by staging, transformation, and a target layer with SCD Type 2. We also implemented a data quality engine that runs weekly to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Additionally, we implemented control tables that determine which jobs need to run and store daily record counts, including how many records were inserted or updated per table. Also depends on the sources, and data can tell how long will table for implementing project. If it’s simple , can deliver the project within a day.
