Hi there, I am Ahmed an electrical engineer, I have read your project requirements and based on what you said if you have figure out the way on which you can connect to the smart swicth and control it through the smart life app, then we could do the same using the esp8266 ! I will be working on creating a simple web interface that will be running on the esp8266, where you can initiate contol signals to control the smart switch, or we can keep the control process using physical buttons and simple hardware components... anyway the intresting part is the communication protocol, if we can figure that out then the switch is under our control. I hope I got the idea right, if so please contact me over the chat.
