I have a matched RX-TX PCBA pair that currently runs on buggy firmware. My main objective is to clean up the code base so the boards communicate flawlessly again; every effort should go toward identifying and eliminating the faults that break or destabilise the link. Once those issues are resolved, I also want the overall reliability of the system raised as far as practical—solid handshakes, error-free packets and consistent uptime are the end goals. At present the glitches appear inside the communication protocols rather than the hardware itself, so you will be concentrating on the firmware layers that handle serial traffic and any associated timing, buffering or state-machine logic. You are free to refactor, rewrite or replace modules provided the final solution compiles, loads and runs on the current boards without electrical modification. Here is what I will consider a successful hand-off: • Source code that is fully commented and organised. • A compiled image for both RX and TX, ready to flash. • A short report outlining the bugs found, your fixes and any reliability tests run (loop-back, stress, long-duration, etc.). • Guidance on reproducing the build in my toolchain so I can maintain the project going forward. I can supply the existing firmware bins, If you are confident in low-level embedded C/C++ (or an equivalent language) and have a track record debugging comms on custom boards, this should be a straightforward yet interesting assignment.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience. I have extensive experience debugging low-level C/C++ firmware, serial communication, timing and buffering faults, packet integrity, handshakes, and state-machine issues on custom PCBs. I can review the RX/TX codebase, isolate the link failures, and refactor or rewrite the affected modules while keeping the existing hardware unchanged. The work will include repeatable build instructions, commented and organised source, flash-ready images for both boards, and a concise report covering the faults, fixes, and loop-back, stress, and long-duration reliability tests performed. Before starting, please confirm whether the editable source code is available in addition to the firmware binaries, and share the MCU part number, communication protocol, development toolchain, schematics or pinout, and how the boards can be provided for testing. If only binary images exist, the scope and feasibility will need to be reviewed first. I can also support follow-on firmware improvements and production-readiness testing if required. Please contact me to discuss details.

Hi, I can debug, refactor, and recode the RX/TX PCBA firmware so the two boards communicate reliably with stable handshakes, clean packet handling, proper buffering, and consistent uptime. The best solution is to first review the existing firmware, protocol flow, timing logic, serial traffic, buffers, state machines, firmware bins/source, toolchain, and any failure symptoms you already observed. I’ll then isolate the communication bugs, clean up the code, test RX/TX behavior, and prepare compiled firmware images for both boards. I’m comfortable with embedded C/C++, microcontrollers, Arduino-style and low-level firmware, serial communication, packet protocols, timing issues, buffering, state-machine debugging, firmware refactoring, and board bring-up support. Deliverables include: * Cleaned and commented source code * RX firmware image * TX firmware image * Communication bug fixes * Handshake and packet reliability improvements * Loop-back/stress/long-run test notes * Build reproduction guide * Short bug/fix report * Flashing guidance I’ll focus on making the current boards work reliably without requiring hardware changes. Best regards Ankit

Hi, This project fits my background very well. I specialize in embedded firmware debugging rather than simply adding new features. I've worked extensively on STM32, ESP32, nRF52 and other MCU platforms, diagnosing communication failures caused by timing, buffering, interrupt handling, state-machine logic and protocol implementation. My approach is to reproduce the issue, trace the communication flow, identify the root cause, and improve the firmware for long-term stability instead of applying temporary fixes. I'll provide clean, well-commented source code, flash-ready binaries for both RX and TX, a clear report of the bugs found and corrected, and build instructions so you can maintain the project independently. I'm comfortable working from existing source or firmware images and can start immediately. I look forward to helping make your RX-TX link reliable under continuous operation. Best regards, Shenglin Gu.

This is well aligned with my background. I’ve spent a significant part of my career working on embedded systems where reliable communication, timing and recovery behaviour matter more than simply getting a packet through once. I’m comfortable working at the level of buffers, interrupts, state machines, framing, retries and fault recovery, and I can work through an unfamiliar codebase methodically rather than immediately replacing everything. Where a rewrite is justified, I’ll keep it controlled and maintainable rather than introducing another layer of complexity. My approach would be to reproduce the failure modes, instrument the RX and TX paths, isolate the root causes and then validate the fixes under sustained traffic and fault conditions. The aim is not just to remove the visible bugs, but to leave the system predictable when packets are lost, delayed, duplicated or corrupted. I can provide clean source, reproducible builds, flashable images and a concise engineering report covering the faults found, fixes made and testing performed. I’m also happy to join a video call to review the hardware, toolchain and known symptoms before starting, and to walk you through the final build and maintenance process afterwards.

Hi. To get the RX/TX link stable again, I’d start by tracing the serial protocol path in the firmware, isolating timing, buffering, and state-machine faults, then tightening the handshake and packet handling logic. I can refactor or rewrite the comms layer in low-level embedded C/C++ so the boards load cleanly on the current hardware with no electrical changes. I’ll validate the fix with loopback checks, stress runs, and long-duration uptime tests, then leave the codebase organized and fully commented for maintenance. As a Senior Software Engineer, I have mastered embedded C/C++, serial protocol debugging, firmware refactoring, and reliability testing, and have strong experience in custom PCB firmware and comms bring-up. I am sure I can deliver high-quality results within a focused timeline once I review the current bins and toolchain. Let’s get in touch and discuss more. Thanks.

Hi, "STABLE RX/TX FIRMWARE COMMUNICATION" — you need the boards to communicate reliably instead of chasing random protocol failures. I'll start by tracing the communication flow, checking timing, buffering, retries, and state-machine logic before changing the code. Once the root cause is confirmed, I'll refactor only what's needed, then validate it with long-run stress tests, packet verification, and loop-back testing. You'll receive clean source code, flash-ready firmware, and a clear report of every fix. Can you provide the MCU model, current toolchain, and whether you have the source code or only the firmware binaries? Looking forward to working with you.

I will debug and stabilize the RX-TX communication firmware by analyzing the existing protocol handling, serial communication flow, timing logic, buffering, and state-machine behavior. The goal is to remove the faults causing unstable communication and deliver firmware images that run reliably on the current PCBA pair. I will first review the existing source code, firmware binaries, communication protocol, and build environment. Then I will trace packet handling, identify failure conditions, refactor affected modules, and test the updated firmware with communication stress and long-duration checks. I will provide organized source code, compiled RX/TX images, a bug-fix report, and build guidance. Possible challenges include undocumented protocol behavior or timing-dependent issues. I will handle these through logging, controlled testing, and reviewing communication states under different loads. Technologies: Embedded C/C++, serial communication protocols, firmware debugging, embedded build tools. A few questions: - Which MCU or processor is used on the RX and TX boards? - What communication interface and protocol are used between the boards? - Do you have the current source code and build toolchain, or only firmware binaries?
