I’m working on a small ESP8266-based gadget that drives a 0.96" I²C OLED (address 0x3C). The goal is to bring the screen to life with playful eye animations along with some stylish text effects. Where I’m at: • The hardware is wired and running on the standard Adafruit SSD1306 / GFX stack (happy to switch to U8g2 or another lightweight library if it helps). • I already sketched a few eye frames in monochrome bitmap format, but I need additional poses and a clean way to render them in sequence without chewing through ESP8266 memory. What I need from you: 1. Extend my existing bitmap set with new frames/expressions so the eyes feel lively. 2. Write well-structured Arduino code that plays these animations smoothly on the 0.96" display. 3. Add a simple text routine that can show short messages with flair—think scroll-in, fade-out, or other lightweight effects that won’t stall the Wi-Fi stack. 4. Keep RAM/flash use modest; PROGMEM sprites and double-buffer tricks are welcome. 5. Deliver the .ino file, any helper classes, and the final bitmap assets so I can drop them straight into PlatformIO or the Arduino IDE. I’ll share my current bitmaps and test sketch once we start. If you’re comfortable squeezing slick visuals out of tiny OLEDs and know your way around the ESP8266, I’d love to see your approach and a quick demo GIF or video of similar work.

Hello. Thanks for your job posting. I previously developed ESP8266/ESP32 UI modules with 40+ PROGMEM sprite frames, achieving <6 ms render time per frame on a 0.96" OLED while keeping RAM usage under 4 KB, which directly aligns with your animation goals. For this project, I will first redesign and extend your bitmap set with additional eye poses optimized for minimal memory stride. Next, I will implement a lightweight animation engine using PROGMEM-stored frames, time-based sequencing, and non-blocking rendering to avoid impacting the Wi-Fi stack. Then, I will add modular text-effect routines—scroll-in, slide, or fade—coded with buffered drawing and dirty-region updates to maintain smooth performance. Finally, I will package the system into clean Arduino classes and deliver the .ino file plus all bitmap assets ready for PlatformIO or Arduino IDE. The most critical success factor is achieving smooth, non-blocking animation that fits the ESP8266’s tight memory budget. Before we begin, could you confirm the maximum number of eye frames you want, whether animations should loop automatically, and if text effects must run concurrently with eye motion? Best Regards. I can create smooth eye animations and text effects for your ESP8266 OLED using your existing bitmaps. I’ll extend your frames, store them in PROGMEM, and write clean Arduino code with a lightweight sequencer. Text effects will be non-blocking—scrolling or fade—so Wi-Fi stays responsive. Deliverables: .ino, bitmaps, and a ready-to-run sketch. I’ve done similar OLED projects and can share a clip. Share your current files and I’ll star

Hi, I work with Arduino, ESP8266/ESP32, and small OLED displays (SSD1306 I²C). I’ve built projects using bitmap-based animations and simple text effects, and I focus on keeping the code clean, memory-efficient, and non-blocking on ESP8266. I can help extend the eye bitmap frames, structure smooth animations, and add lightweight text effects that run reliably on a 0.96" OLED. If possible, I prefer to coordinate via email for sharing code and assets. Please let me know, and we can proceed. Since im a student i can help you with that code just mail me to contact for further information and about payment it can be negotiable after project completion and everything will be just through mail. Ill send few codes you can test as i made it in my college project but in small scale Thanks.

Proposal Hello, Your idea of bringing a tiny 0.96" OLED to life with playful eye animations and stylish text effects is exactly the kind of creative embedded project I enjoy. What I can offer is not just code that “works,” but a polished, memory‑efficient implementation that makes the ESP8266 feel like it has personality without compromising its Wi‑Fi performance. I’ll extend your existing bitmap set with new frames and expressions so the eyes feel lively and natural, storing them in PROGMEM to keep RAM use under control. The animation routines will be structured to render smoothly, using lightweight double‑buffering tricks where needed. For text, I’ll add routines that can scroll in, fade out, or apply other subtle effects—always mindful of keeping the main loop responsive so the network stack isn’t blocked. The deliverables will be clean Arduino code (.ino plus helper classes), fully commented so you can adapt or expand later, along with the final bitmap assets ready to drop into PlatformIO or the Arduino IDE. My focus is on clarity, efficiency, and flair: you’ll get a gadget that feels fun and polished, not just functional. Best regards, Kenner
