I am writing a letter to the American Embassy in New Delhi to make a complaint, but it has to be in 100% perfect english, very formal and "erudite". Must be a native speaker (USA, Canada, UK or Australia).
While keeping the core information I want help from a professional writer to convince the message.
Letter is below and on attached word file as well.
My name is Rubens Belfort and I am a doctor from Brazil. As a result from our international work with Indian medical institutions, I travel to India a lot and became good friends with an Indian family. Prakash Bajpayee and his family became great friends since 2014 and this year his 19 y old son was invited by me to go with us to the United Stated. This young man, named Om, became very dear to me and my family and have been to Brazil to visit us 4 times. He is a bright hotel management student and I want to expose him to American culture and take him with us to Miami for 5 days.
He had his visa interview at the American Embassy in New Delhi and took all the necessary documents to support his intention to visit the USA as a tourist and return to India as planned. He had a folder with travel plans, hotel reservations, documents showing he is a university student, documents showing his apartment is rented under his name and more importantly notorized documents from me to support his application. He would go and come back with me, who would cover all costs of his travel. I am an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and on the executive board of the Pan-American Board of Ophthalmology and go to the USA 3 or 4 times a year.
Unfortunately, the interview did not go as planned. The interviewer just refused to check Om’s documents. She just asked how much his father makes per month. When he said he had documents to support his application she answered that “she didn’t want to see documents”.
I understand the United States Embassy must follow guidelines to provide applicants with an American Visa, but find it unjustifiable that after paying the fees and preparing for the interview someone is treated like this. I did part of my medical training in the USA at Cleveland Clinic and MD Anderson and now as part of the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology have the opportunity to interact with leading American doctors and learn about your culture, based on principles of justice and high moral standards.
Unfortunately as tourist in Brazil Om is not allowed to apply for an American Visa, as It would be easier support his application with my contacts in São Paulo.
I write to you in hope you can help to make this situation right. I am sure that the American Embassy policies for Visa grant were not followed in this case.
