Do you map out potential contamination pathways (like fractured bedrock, shallow aquifers, septic leach fields, or livestock runoff)? Testing & Diagnostics Do you coordinate with certified labs for water testing? Will you recommend specialized testing beyond total coliform/E. coli (e.g., nitrates, viruses, PFAS, iron bacteria)? Can you determine if the contamination is from surface water intrusion, septic, or natural soil/rock conditions? Solutions & Recommendations Will you provide a written report with findings and recommendations? Do you suggest engineering fixes (well repair, casing replacement, sealing, relocating the well)? Can you advise on water treatment systems (UV disinfection, continuous chlorination, reverse osmosis, etc.)? If the well location is the problem, will you help identify a better spot for a new well?
