My approach would be: map the Oracle schema (tables, indexes, constraints, sequences, views) to SQL Server with explicit type mappings; convert the PL/SQL logic (procedures, functions, triggers) to T-SQL; move historical data with a repeatable, restartable load; then validate with a per-table checksum and row-count match plus a run of your core business procedures, alongside a before/after performance benchmark. The rollback path to Oracle would be built and tested in the plan, not bolted on, to keep the cut-over under two hours. A few honest scoping questions before I put a timeline on it: how many tables, and how much PL/SQL (procs, functions, triggers) needs converting, including the most complex pieces?
