First thing I'd do is pull the current ADF pipelines and SSIS packages apart to see where the tuning debt actually sits, because a request this broad usually means the pain isn't spread evenly, it's concentrated in two or three slow procedures and a reporting layer that's outgrown the queries feeding it. Six years in SQL Server means I've spent most of that time exactly there, rewriting execution plans instead of accepting them, restructuring ETL/ELT jobs so Databricks and ADF aren't fighting each other for compute, and getting SSRS reports off datasets that were never indexed for the filters people actually use. For your setup I'd start with the warehouse and the nightly load, since that's usually what's driving both the tuning complaints and the data quality gaps at once, then move outward into the SSIS/ADF orchestration and finally the SSRS layer once the underlying queries are solid. The 9pm to 1am IST window works fine for me, and I'd treat it as live overlap for questions and handover rather than just execution hours. M1: pipeline and query audit, current state map of ADF, SSIS and Databricks flows plus quick tuning wins, INR 31875, 3 days. M2: ETL/ELT rebuild on ADF and Databricks for the flagged pipelines, INR 38250, 4 days. M3: SSIS package rework and stored procedure tuning with before and after execution plans, INR 31875, 4 days. M4: SSRS report fixes, data quality checks on the warehouse tables, and handover documentation, INR 25500, 3 days.
