I need a Python-based service that marries an LLM-powered chat assistant with a rock-solid transaction engine for buying digital gold. The chat’s first job is to guide users toward completing a purchase; answering their questions about gold comes second. You are free to select the framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.), data store, LLM provider, and payment/API stack, but I will expect a short architecture document explaining why each piece was chosen and how they fit together. Core flows • One-time purchase of digital gold • Recurring SIPs that users can create, execute, pause, resume, and cancel Ledger requirements – every transaction must record • Transaction date and time • Amount and type of gold purchased • Transaction status and reference number Key engineering notes • Perform all monetary maths with Python’s Decimal class—no floats. • Prevent duplicate charges with an idempotency strategy. • Surface graceful fallbacks when external APIs fail. • Include an automated test suite that covers happy paths, edge cases, and failure handling. Deliverables 1. One documented command brings the whole thing up."docker compose up" is ideal. 2. Architecture & setup guide (README or similar) 3. A verify script, Makefile target, or documented curl sequence that exercises the full flow. Acceptance will be based on the test suite passing, accurate ledger entries, and the chat’s ability to steer users toward a completed purchase without hallucinations.
