INTRODUCTION
UnionEast Ventures is a small Manhattan based startup that is developing a unique and proprietary social media platform that will be launched on multiple social networks which shall immediately monetize a finite membership base.
We have an immediate need for a Flash Engineer/Developer who will be solely responsible for developing and building out the complicated Flash application that will form the basis of our USP.
The position is open to both individual (freelance) or companies (studios, etc) and both entities will be subject to the same terms outlined in this job description.
REMUNERATION
The project is very unique and has already been "tested" with a similar concept in a different market with amazing results. We are very confident that we will realize the full potential of the project of which proceeds shall be approximately USD $3 million. Because this role is integral to the success of the venture, the role will be rewarded accordingly. We shall pay the successful candidate 15% of the net proceeds of the business. The successful candidate will not receive any other payments.
You will create and be responsible for the High-end ActionScript and client-side development for our consumer facing social media application.
REQUIREMENTS
• Solid high level Flash development experience and Flash application development experience
• Expertise with data exchange (XML, dynamic content)
• Expert design integration experience and GUI development skills
• Creative technical problem solver
• Understanding of social media and their respective API's including Facebook, MySpace and Twitter
• ActionScript v2, (v3 preferred)
• Enterprise level deployment experience desirable
• Knowledge of GoF Design Patterns
• Experience with Java and JSP are a big plus
• Video development experience highly desirable
• Experience with AJAX and CSS highly desirable
• You MUST reside/live/have offices with close proximity to Manhattan, NYC as briefing meetings and project milestone meetings will take place in person.

There will be two rounds of interviews and potential candidates will be required to sign binding Non-Disclosure and Non-Compete Agreements.

If we are interested talking with you further - based on your background and expertise - we shall request you attend an initial meeting with the owners of the UnionEast Ventures. Before the meeting, you will be required to sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement. We will not disclose the full scope of the project during this first meeting. You will be required to bring along more relevant samples of your work.
Should you be successful in making the shortlist for the final interview, you will be required to sign a Non-Compete Agreement with UnionEast Ventures beforehand. At this final interview, you will be provided with the full outline and scope of the project and your suitability will be determined.
The successful candidate will be made a shareholder of the entity and a Remuneration Agreement will be provided outlining the metrics of your compensation based on 15% of the net proceeds of the project. The successful candidate will not receive any other payments, either monetary or otherwise for work performed on this project.
