I'm looking for an editor/ghost writer to help me improve my historical, Christian-friendly novel.(It's not a Christian book, per se, but it excludes cursing, sex, and my characters talk openly about religion) It's currently at 182,000 words, but I would love to cut it down. This is an "epic" novel set in the Second World War, with 5 intertwined characters. It is fiction, but based on true events. I need help making my characters more compelling and relatable, along with improving my sub-par dialogue, plot holes, etc. (I have four published books by a reputable publisher, so I'm not a horrible writer, but this is my first crack at fiction, so my MS is in a rough state right now.) The basic story is in place, but I'm looking for a knowledgeable developmental editor/partner who loves history and story telling who can make suggestions and help me move this MS along to the next step. Frankly, I could do this on my own, but I'm going this route because my son was recently diagnosed with cancer, and I am simply out of gas when it comes to my creativity. I'm not asking for your pity, but just providing some background. As much as I wish I could tackle this right now, I know my limits, and I'm on a bit of a time crunch, and need to have it ready for an editor by the end of January.
