Exploring hiring a grant researcher and writer

THIS IS AN EXPLORATORY POSTING AS I HAVE LIMITED FINANCES AT THIS TIME. I want to get an idea for estimating how much to save up and how long it will take me to do so. I am curious about the possibility of qualifying for small business grants for a new startup as a woman veteran. Don’t know where to start looking or how to write proposals. I’ve been a leatherworker for 2.5 years as a hobbyist and want to turn it into a full-time business. Leather crafting is a dying trade that has recently been seeing a resurgence. It is an art of its own and consumers love the beauty and unique nature of handmade products. I want to create luxury leather goods and share the passion of leather-crafting with others. Looking for grants to help with funding: Short-term goals- Purchasing tools, furniture, and supplies for the production of goods. Investing in classes to increase skills, experience, and product quality. Capital for marketing online and in person. Beginning salaries for one full-time employee and one part-time employee. Long-term goals- Full size workshop and machinery to maximize efficiency for specialized and custom products. Increase production capacity. Hire more employees. Take on apprentices. Teach small group classes.
