Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing accurate takeoffs from blueprints and HVAC drawings, preparing comprehensive submittals, and developing detailed sketches for a variety of mechanical systems, including boiler venting, fire suppression hoods, and related components. Key Responsibilities - Perform precise takeoffs from blueprints and HVAC drawings to support cost estimation and project planning - Prepare and submit detailed documentation for client and regulatory review and approval - Develop technical sketches and drawings for mechanical systems, including boiler venting, fire suppression hoods, ductwork layouts, and more - Conduct calculations and analyses to ensure systems meet performance requirements, codes, and safety standards - Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in design Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field - Demonstrated experience performing takeoffs from blueprints and HVAC drawings - Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
