I am completing my bachelor’s thesis in legal studies and must produce a 15–20-page commentary on the UK Supreme Court decision in Fimbank Plc v KCH Shipping Co Ltd (2024). The focus is the one-year time bar for misdelivery claims under the Hague-Visby Rules. I have outlined the overall structure but need thorough, academically sound content—especially a deep, detailed legal analysis of the Court’s reasoning and decision. The manuscript has to: • follow a clear academic structure (introduction, facts, legal issue, Court’s reasoning, comparison with doctrine and earlier case law, critical evaluation, conclusion); • integrate a historical context perspective alongside standard doctrinal discussion; • use formal academic English and consistent legal citation throughout; • contain a fully formatted bibliography and pinpoint references to the judgment, secondary sources, and any relevant scholarship. Your primary task is to craft the section on the Court’s reasoning—explaining how the Justices approached the limitation period question, the principles they applied, and the implications for future carriage-of-goods disputes—while weaving that analysis seamlessly into the wider paper. A concise yet comprehensive treatment of the facts, prior authorities, and my own critical comments should round out the thesis so that the final document is submission-ready. Please let me know your availability and preferred citation style, and I will share my preliminary outline and any source material I have already gathered.
