TECHNICALLY it is possible to move your site to HA cluster without downtime. I can help you with no or minimum outage. It just needs better planning and execution. - Where is your current site? Hi there. I'm Mario, sysadmin from Argentina with 25 years experience. This is not a bot nor a 'cut and paste' proposal. I'm focused on infrastructure projects, like server installations, databases, web servers, IP connectivity, virtualization and such. I'd need to know what kind of database are you using (postgres / mysql / other) in order to understand the HA options. My approach would be to add a server, then configure DB clustering (depending on DB type) , which should have minimum downtime. Then , proceed to replicate the rest of the website (backend?) to this new server, get an additional floating IP, proceed to test the site in the new IP, do the DNS migration to the new IP, configure the old server so that it can work with the new one, and finally update haproxy configuration to include the old server. We can discuss every detail in advance. Also, I do test everything in my lab before implementing in your environment. I'm extremely careful in terms of downtime so we're aligned on that issue.
